FAQ important information

In case of emergency
Part of the experience of travelling off-the-beaten-track inevitably means travelling to remote areas, without immediate access to communication, medical assistance etc. Should any of the group fall ill or require medical assistance we have radio back-up, and for cycling trips a support vehicle on hand all the time. Transfer times for any emergency pick-ups to nearest towns and medical assistance can be between 2-6 hours depending on location, terrain and weather conditions. All our guides and team are qualified first aiders, and trained by local fire and rescue professionals.

Be aware/ T&Cs
We offer holidays in a beautiful yet remote area in the Brazilian interior, where events are less predictable or controllable than in Western Europe, or North America and part of the challenge of being off the beaten track. Due to this unpredictability the itineraries that we plan and offer should be read as statements of intent, rather than a contractual obligation. Many factors can affect our original plans and in such circumstances we will make any changes that are necessary, after consultations with all concerned. We cannot be held responsible for enforced changes or delays beyond our control, irrespective of how they were caused.

We take care to provide you with an unique experience and select routes and stop-overs with great care and consideration for your enjoyment and safety, however the accommodation is basic and not the same as that which you would have in Europe or North America.

You must be aware when you are considering booking yourselves on one of our trips, that if you are not prepared for these circumstances, you should not travel to this region, and that when you do place a booking you do take on a degree of responsibility to accept this situation.
